well i live in southwest VA. and ive probably went catfishin about 30 times this summer already and havnt had much luck. the biggest one so far has been about 11lbs. tonight were takin the boat out for the first time and im hopein to get on some big flatties.

i used to fish tournaments in TN on cherokee, and used to do pretty good. but i knew the water pretty well and had alot of people to help me. now im pretty much on my own & im just gettin used to fishing around here. so hopefully with the boat ill be able to move around to better spots and get on some fish.

anybody who lives in the area or has fished flannagan, skeet rock, or craines nest and has had luck with findin big flatheads or channels id like to get some tips.

ill give some detail about the area incase anyone else can help. it stars as a small river only about 10ft in its deepest holes, and opens up into a nice sized area when you get to the backwaters. the smaller part is pretty muddy and the water isnt very clear.

well thanks for readin. and hopefully ill get that 20 pounder ive been lookin for all summer :D

Well I have never been to any of those places I know that the places by me its not as much finding the right spot as finding the right bait.
