My uncle has a small pond with bluegills,bass,catfish,and turtles they are nice sizes but the catfish dont bite we've tried everything except cut bait what do u think i should do or try?

Try the cutbait. Have you tried crawdads?

id probably try berkley gulp sinking worms for the bass and berkley gulp red or chartreuse waxies for the bluegill thats all i got for u

when are you fishing for the cats some times it is better later at night

For farm ponds And for his pond have you tryed hotdogs,sonnys dip bait or premos dip bait?I all ways have good luck with theses baits in farm ponds

Buy two or three cans of ALPO DOG FOOD poke holes in the cans & toss them in the water where ur fishin fer the cats. That may or may not work. Worth a try.

do you think that will work in a bait trap

id try the small bluegill u catch thats probably there main forage also tyry fishing closer to the edges the cats tend to hole up in the sides of the banks also try a couple of jugs with different baits see what works best

we tried all that the dip bait works great especially sonys

Crawdads or Crayfish can be found easily in small creeks and streams. Just put out a trap in rocky areas in the water with a cut up fish and let it set for a few hours. When you get back you should have a few. Most bait shops carry them also or can get them for you.

frabill makes a nice black vinyl coated trap with two 2.25 inch openings on each size i would get one if they were up here i might get one for bigger baitfish
