i was at the store the other day and saw this Fluorocarbon Fishing Line. I have never herd of it before and i wanted to know if anyone has used it and if it is a good type of line.
I have used the berkley vanish florocarbon before. I didn't have any complaints. Supposed to disappear and not be visiable in the water hence the name vanish.

Fluorocarbon lines have been used by fly fishermen for a good while but have been adapted by bass and other fishermen fairly recently. This line is made by combining a carbon base and other materials to form a line that is almost invisible underwater. Therefore it is very useful in clear water.
Many fluorocarbon lines are stiff and keep the shape of the spool, especially when cold. This can cause casting problems, especially on spinning reels. The lighter versions show these problems less than heavier test lines but can still be a problem.

I think it's great stuff for ultra light setups.. I use it on my crappie/bait/small catfish setups.
I do a fly-fishing like technique for my ultra light setups, no weights, just bait. Dead shad on a hook, piece of a nightcrawler or whatever insect I can find laying around. The fluorocarbon is easier to cast lightweight baits with than with mono, my bait also acts more naturally under water.
