I did not get a chance to do any ice fishing this year:( I like the fish fry and the shout out FATBOY DAN AND THE crock92.7!

Do you always have to just walk backwards when you get a fish ice fishing? Or was it just the type of rods you used?

yeah whats up with walking back when you got a fish on? why dont you reel it in? i was confused:confused: i think it would be funer if u reeld it in? dont you think that guys?

I'm just taking a guess at the walking backwards thing here. Maybe its so they can keep the lure at the same depth instead of having to "search" for the honey spot each time.

Bingo! LOL :D When we first cut the holes we clip a weight on the line right at the hook to find the depth, we peg the bobber so it will hold the hook at the desired depth(Usually 4-12 inches off the bottom), it's just alot quicker to walk back, unhook the fish, rebait, then drop it right back down than to check the depth everytime you catch one. It seems when your icefishing that the bites come in spurts alot of times, so it's good to get the bait right back down there. By the way, I'm the fat guy in the video. ;)

ive never been ice fishing :( really want to ice fish but none of my friends do it so i really cant either... looks like a lot of fun :)
