my uncle in law noodles all the time in lake thunderbird in Oklahoma (Norman) for nice sized cats( he once caught a 54lb pound blue noodlin) he asked me if i ever wanted to go with him and i did and helped him land a big 30lb fish but besides that ive never noodled for cats.

Hey FBD! Smitty from up in Madison County.....not here to bust your chops, but you may want to consider checking the fishing regs here.....noodling isn't legal in Indiana. Good thing your video didn't show you catching any......hate to see ya get in trouble man.

Noodling is legal in the following states: Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kansas, Illinois, Arkansas, and Missouri. (unsure how updated this llist is)

Missouri is not one of the states it's legal in, we had an experimental season for 1 year that was it. Our department of conservation decided that noodling is alarmingly bad for our fisheries. Too many big cats can be caught on there nests*the way people do it here*, if you take out all the big cats that are going to spawn you ruin several future generations of fish.
The idea of it sounds fun, huge fish tearing the flesh off your for arm, possibly dragging you under with it. And thats if you dont stick your hand in to find a beaver or turtle:eek:.
I will stick to the legal method of catching them after they are done spawning on rod and reel ;). I've been with someone when they noodled a 40lb'r that's as close as I want to come to sticking my hand in a dark hole and using it for bait lol.
Plus I like to play guitar I need all my fingers for that
